Hello, I’m Jami Carter. My role as an IBCLC is to create a safe, non-judgmental environment for parents to access the support they need while doing the important work of feeding their babies. I serve as an educator, advocate, supporter, and partner as we work together to discover the best path for you and your baby.
A passion for supporting families bloomed in my 20’s during my work as a DIR(Developmental Individual-difference Relationship-based model) supervisor and trainer in home programs for children with autism. Concurrently, I began creating theater and dance programs for typically developing children, as well as children with disabilities. My extensive arts background also led me to dance with numerous performing groups in Los Angeles, and teach classes to children and adults in my community.
I completed my lactation education and clinical hours with the University of California, San Diego and began combining my learning, creativity and extensive personal experience breastfeeding my 3 babies into a family-centered lactation practice. I have focused training in infant oral function, bottle feeding issues, low milk supply, and pumping. My mission is to provide families with compassionate support that is tailored exactly to their unique needs.
